A Step Ahead is made of an anti-static fleece material which is an environmentally friendly alternative and is certified by bluesign®.

The material means that the usually stretched parts are reinforced. Because it has such a well-shaped fit around the belly, it provides protection, both on the horse’s skin, but also the internal organs.

The buckles around the abdomen are designed to be simple, soft and eliminate injuries and discomfort when the horse is lying down.

Hocket System

It is possible to combine different sizes. Therefore, it is easy to find the right combination and fit for the individual sporthorse.

Combine a correctly fitted Hocket Body size (covering back/sides/stomach) with a separate selected size of Hocket Front.

Add a removable Hocket Neck in the right size. The Hocket fits your horse, no matter their conformation.

Ergonomic Handling

The Hocket system enables the horse to move ergonomically whilst eating, stationary and in motion. As well as minimizing the effort for the handler.

The fastenings/openings are placed on the sides so that they don’t disturb the horse and make it more ergonomic and safer for you to handle.

They can be opened with one hand, even when wearing gloves.

Wound Free Protection

The soft front flex, reduces pressure on the withers. The Hocket has no hard edges. The belly straps and the tail strap is elastic, so no legs can get stuck.

These are just some of all the details built into our design. This ensures a better experience, and minimizes the risk of injury.

The patented solution minimizes the pressure on the shoulder blades during movement and doesn’t hinder the ability to move.

Protected Withers

The shape follows the top of the horse’s shoulder blades. The cushion ensures that the withers section is extra long and effective. Springy, flexible, breathable, light, soft, shaped foam.

The pressure-relieving pillows eliminate much of the pressure that otherwise naturally arises on the withers.

Especially on the sloping backside, when the horse bends its head to eat. Seams around the bridged construction are hidden so rubbing is eliminated.

Equifleece is quick drying with good wicking properties.

The moisture management knit construction makes sure that the moisture is pulled away from the body and transferred to the outer surface for faster evaporation.

The unique design closes snugly around the abdomen. Protecting the skin and internal organs from cold, wet and wind.

The belly-straps are totally stretchable. Increasing comfort and safety, especially when the horses lie down or take a deep breath.

The buckles are strong and flexible. Without sharp edges or hard metal.

The straps can be adjusted to fit the individual horse.

No Gaps

To control weather and wind, the entire Hocket is swept into a structure with zippers on the side.

Snug Fit Around the Hind

Shaped around the hind area with carefully placed darts and seams. Creates a snug fit around the body, without bulky intakes.

The smaller patch covers the tail to steer away the rain, without adding too much weight, rubbing or restraint of movement, or being ripped apart.
