Material Research, Development And Application

We work with some of the world’s most innovative material engineers. Creating technically advanced fabrics that meet our high requirements and standards.

The choice of materials, buckles, zipper types, padding, type of seams, etc. is also based on knowledge of horses, the different conditions they live in, as well as expertise in technical textiles and other accessories.

We constantly keep ourselves in the forefront through collaboration with universities, studies, laboratory tests and various field tests. But above all, through cooperation with not only riders, farriers, veterinarians, etc. but also elite athletes in other sports.

The ingenuity of Equimade lies in the combination of ground-breaking innovation based on the horses biomechanics, the clever design, leveraging materials completely new to the equine product industry and production governed by the most environmentally friendly regulations existing.

The products are designed to be comfortable and gentle for our high-performing and sensitive horses. While at the same time being easy to handle. An example of how we have designed our products for the horse is the Hocket Front.

For many years we compared solutions. To find the optimal combination of softness to absorb the pressure from the horse’s natural “heads-down” position. As well as firmness in movement, and durability during harsh conditions.

An example of how we think about ease-of-handling is how our products are designed so you should be able to handle it from one side and with only one hand. Like opening of the belly girths – it is easy with just one hand on the Hocket.

Laboratory & Field Testing Approval

We save the most critical step in our product development process until last. In addition to exposing our products, to a never-ending stream of laboratory tests. We also use the products on different sporthorses to learn how the they work in practice.

After receiving valuable feedback it is time for refining of each product. Until it gets approval from our craftsmen, as well as the equestrian and their sporthorses, ensuring happy athletes.
